The Whoopie

Chococoa Baking Company is an artisanal baker of The Whoopie. The Whoopie is a twist on the classic – being a bite-size 2” in diameter, not a hamburger sized Whoopie Pie.  Made with all natural ingredients, including dessert-quality chocolate, organic butter and local, free-range eggs. The fillings are made with organic butter for the buttercream, so you are tasting the very best in flavors and no trans fat. 

Robinson Farm / Hardwick, Massachusetts

Artisanal Cheeses

In 2006, Robinson Farm began their journey and dream to make artisanal raw milk cheese using their own grass fed organic cow’s milk. They make four unique farmstead cheeses: Robinson Family Swiss, Tekenink Tomme, Hardwick Stone, and A Barndance. All of their artisanal cheeses are washed rind cheeses, aged at least sixty days, made with raw whole milk, and hard or semi-hard in nature. Farmstead cheese from grass fed cows, by nature, will have slight seasonal variations in flavor and texture, while still reflecting the terroir of the rolling hills of Hardwick.

A neighbor of our Concord shop, Concord Teacakes specializes in making delectable, show-stopping cookies for all occasions. Concord Teacakes has partnered with Winston Flowers for over six years, seasonally developing new and exclusive items for our gift baskets.  Their cookies are made with the freshest ingredients and are individually designed for Winston Flowers. Their staff decorators are true artists, combining delicious flavors with beautiful color and outstanding designs.

Tatte Patisserie / Brookline, MA

The founder of Tatte’s Patisserie passion for baking was born in her mother's kitchen where, surrounded by the sweet scents that floated through the air, she was fascinated by the creativity and tenderness that went into everything she made. She started baking out of her home kitchen participating in a few farmers' markets.  This brought her to open their first store in Brookline, MA in February 2008. Today, Tatte produces delicious baked goods that are sold throughout the Boston and NYC area as well as local farmers' markets.

Two friends who have known each other for more than 20 years founded Effie’s Homemade.  Only making 3 things and making them well, they have always believed that great flavors come from quality ingredients, simply prepared. The inspiration for their company comes from Joan’s mom, Effie MacLellan, and her recipe for Oatcakes. Effie grew up on a rural farm in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

A small unique orchard with over 80 varieties of apples as well as plums, pears, and cherries.  Windfall Orchard Ice Cider is a sophisticated dessert wine made from apples. Ice Cider was developed 15 years ago in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, just north of Vermont. Their Ice Cider is produced by blending over 30 traditional and heirloom apple varieties.  Ice Cider is an extremely versatile drink.  It pairs well with cheese, charcuterie, foie gras, and of course, dessert.

Each piece is produced by hand in small batches using traditional European craftsmanship. Fresh herbs, Penzey spices, Rishi Teas, and fruit purees from France are masterfully paired to compliment single plantation and varietal chocolates.  Each piece represents a perfect balance of flavors, texture, and simple beauty.

C&C was started in 2009 as a way to legitimize the excessive amount of home-baking done by now Chief Baking Officer (CBO) Hilary. She exclusively makes her fresh granola and street nuts for Winston Flowers.

Bonnie Shershow's hand-made jams, jellies & preserves are made from original recipes inspired by the fruits of the season. The most fragrant and freshest fruits gathered around New England are the basis for the intense taste that makes the jams truly remarkable. And to ensure that each jam reflects the true flavor of the fruit – Bonnie uses no pectin and half the sugar of commercial jams.

Mini Bundt Cakes, Granola, Sparkle Cookies

Katie Rooney got her start selling Mediterranean pastries at local farmers’ markets and small local shops.  She now has her own bakery crafting delightful baked goods right in Somerville.  They are inspired by Greek family recipes, as well as natural, organic, and locally sourced ingredients.  For a relatively new bakery, they are catching a lot of buzz in the local media.
